This article covers what to expect during the post-launch period. There are three major phases of the post-launch process: Issuing, Active, and Complete.

Instant Survey Post-Launch

To see the status of your Instant Survey, simply navigate to the My Surveys Page within My Workspace. From there, you can see all of your Instant Surveys and can filter based on status.

Issuing

Once you hit 'Launch', your Instant Survey’s status will be Issuing. Before sending your Instant Survey to panelists, Numerator's research team performs quality control to ensure a positive respondent experience.

What is Quality Control?

The goal of quality control is to ensure question wording and logic make sense for the panelist. Our Numerator Survey Research experts quickly review questionnaires and remove any typos, conflicting logic, and vagueness that may hinder the panelist’s ability to understand and respond to the questions.

  • Quality control is meant to be a quick polishing of the Instant Survey you crafted. Therefore, the Numerator Research team takes the liberty to make changes if it improves respondents’ understanding and experience without materially changing the intent or the learning of the question or the survey.

    • In order to maximize efficiency and speed, these minor changes aren’t reviewed with the client before launching the Instant Survey.

  • If any concerns arise where the changes could materially affect the learning or the intent of the survey question, the Instant Survey team will reach out to the client to discuss proposed changes.

Timing

To ensure the best experience possible for all parties involved, we have members of the Numerator Research Team issuing and performing quality control on every AskWhy and Instant Survey. Surveys are processed during standard business hours Monday-Friday 8-5 CT (excluding holidays). Surveys submitted after standard work hours (i.e. evenings, weekends, and holidays) are processed the next available business day.

The vast majority of Instant Surveys and AskWhy surveys undergo review and quality control within a couple of hours and are in the field the same business day. However, processing times may be delayed during periods of high demand, such as Friday afternoons. Therefore, we encourage you to include a buffer time and be available in case any questions arise during the Issuing process.

Pro Tip: Issuing times are often slowed during high-demand periods, such as Friday afternoons. If you want your results for next week, we recommend launching by Thursday afternoon to ensure plenty of time for processing and fielding.

Active

Instant Surveys will be listed as Active when it is in the field actively collecting responses. Once an Instant Survey has collected at least 30 responses, you will receive an email alerting you that it is Active and that you can start reviewing results within the platform.

How long will my Instant Survey be in the Active stage?

Each Instant Survey is unique and there are several variables at play when determining how long it will take to collect the requested number of responses. The confirmation page of each Instant Survey provides an estimated completion date. We recommend using that timeframe given to estimate when your specific Instant Survey will be complete.

Complete

Once an Instant Survey has collected the number of designated responses, its status will change to Complete. You will also receive an email notifying you that your Instant Survey is complete.

Results

Instant Survey results will be found in the My Surveys tab, located in My Workspace. Learn more about Instant Survey Results here.

Instant Survey Reports Considerations

  • If your Instant Survey includes certain customized programming updates, such as matrix/grid questions, you will be provided a link to an alternate dashboard that contains the results.

    • Need help locating the link? Please reach out to your Numerator contact or our In-Platform chat.

  • If you have additional requests, such as seeing the full results for questionnaires that include disqualifying logic (not just completes), please reach out via our In-Platform chat, and our solution support team can provide further assistance.

AskWhy Post Launch

Issuing

After programming your AskWhy survey, you will see the confirmation message below. Once you hit ‘Checkout’ your AskWhy survey status will be Issuing.

Before sending your AskWhy to panelists, a member of Numerator's research team will perform a quick quality control to ensure a positive respondent experience. While this process is less extensive for AskWhy than it is for Instant Surveys, this does mean that AskWhy surveys must also be launched during business hours. AskWhy surveys launched outside of business hours will be reviewed and launched the next business day. Learn more about timing here.

Active

After the quick human check, AskWhy surveys are Active and begin collecting responses. You will receive an email letting you know when it is fielding.

Complete

AskWhy surveys are usually completed within hours of launch. You will receive another email letting you know when the AskWhy survey is complete.

Locating AskWhy Results

The results of your AskWhy survey can be found in the report from which it was launched. To locate the report, simply visit My Workspace → My Reports and filter by AskWhy Survey.

When you open the original report, you will see a new tab entitled ‘AskWhy’. Here is where you can find the results of your AskWhy survey and download the raw data.
