Numerator has the U.S.’s largest, most representative single-source purchase panel, with data and insights coming straight from the source–the consumers themselves. We collect demographic data from our panelists when they join Receipt Hog and capture our psychographic and media consumption data through brief microsurveys pushed out to panelists after receipt uploads (more below). Receipt Hog is a gamified app, so panelists earn rewards for their engagement with our surveys.

Below is the breakdown of the different surveys we utilize to understand our panelists' demographics, psychographics, and media consumption habits.

Demographic Survey

  • A required survey that panelists complete during initial account set-up with Receipt Hog

  • Covers traditional demographic questions (age, income bucket, gender, ethnicity, household size, education, employment, marital status etc.)

    • Fluid demographic attributes (ex: household size, income, etc.) are updated via micro surveys on a rolling basis every 12 months

Household Profile Survey

  • Optional follow-up survey after panelists complete Demographic Survey; fielded periodically and whenever household changes are reported via the Life Events microsurvey

  • Covers questions about household size and age ranges of children in the household

People Insights Microsurveys

  • Optional short surveys (3 questions max); panelists are eligible to complete one micro survey per week

  • Questions cover psychographics, media consumption, Premium People content, and fluid demographic attributes

  • Many of the microsurveys are re-fielded on a rolling 12 months basis

Life Events Microsurvey

  • Optional surveys about life events (pregnancy/new children, relationship status, employment, etc.)

  • Panelists are eligible to receive this survey every 3 months
