About Order Delivery Types
Order Delivery Type is a Trip Attribute you can select when Creating a Trip Group in the Insights Platform. Each Order Delivery Type is a combination of two different factors: the Order Method and the Delivery Method. The Order Method is how the order was placed (online or in store). The Delivery Method is how the order was received (In store, delivery service, shipping, or multiple). Below are our Order Delivery Types and an example of each:
Click and Collect
For Click and Collect, the Order Method is 'Online' and the Delivery Method is 'In Store'.
Example: Target drive up or pick up order
Deliver to Home
For Deliver to Home, the Order Method is 'Online' and the Delivery Method is 'Delivery Service'
Example: An Instacart order from Kroger
In Store
For In Store, the Order Method is 'In Store' and the Delivery Method is 'In Store'.
Example: A standard in-person shopping trip
Multiple
For Multiple, the Order Method is 'Online' and the Delivery Method is 'Multiple'.
Example: an order was placed for pick up, but some of the items weren't present at the store and were delivered to their home later.
Ship to Home
For Ship to Home, the Order Method is 'Online' and the Delivery Method is 'Shipping'.
Example: A walmart.com order shipped to a home address
