About the Monadic Concept Test Survey
The Monadic Concept Test is a survey type designed for testing multiple concepts (e.g., packaging designs, product claims, ad creatives). Each respondent sees only one concept, which allows you to directly compare results between groups. It works like an A/B test with different quota groups being exposed to different stimuli, and reporting automatically breaks down results by group.
Quick Tips: How to Prompt
Step 1: Select Sample
Begin by creating your Quota Groups and inputting concept details for each group.
Each group requires either a Concept Name (text), or a Concept Image (uploaded file). These become variables in your survey questions.
Note: Whatever is included for one group must be included for all groups.
Image Recommendations
The standard width for an image in the question/text should be 300 pixels.
Valid image file types are JPG/PNG that are 16MB or smaller.
High-resolution images work best for mobile display.
Images with horizontal layouts are not recommended as most of our users take the surveys on mobile.
Note: It is important that respondents understand the product or feature they are evaluating, and also some images may need to be zoomed in to view specific details.
Step 2: Create Questionnaire
Concept Variables
Use the variables concept_name and/or concept_image to personalize questions for each concept.
The input in Step 1 (Selecting Panelists) will be piped into the question.
Note: Variables do not display preview images in the builder.
